Steel Drums

The steel drum is also sometimes referred to as a steel pan. It is a percussion instrument. The drum is used in different genres of music.

Steel drums were traditionally made from old oil containers. However, today they are usually constructed out of metal. They are constructed to make the best sound.

There are double and single steel drums. Both types are used in musical shows. These drums are popular with street performers.
