Bass Guitar
Bass guitars are a unique instrument, yet they look almost
the same as electric guitars. The construction process for a bass is
also similar to an electric guitar. The differences between the two
are the sound and the accessories.
Bass guitars have a low pitched bass sound. The sound is often amplified
through an amplifier, especially when the guitar is played in a rock
band. Amplifiers are also used when the bass is played on stage in front
of an audience.
Bass guitars were invented to replace larger bass instruments. In fact,
the first bass instruments were invented in order to make them portable
and easy to play. These guitars have only been available since the 1930s.
